Student Visit to CSIR-NISCPR

On 24th February 2023, the B. S. Anangpuria Institute of Pharmacy, Faridabad, organized an education trip to CSIR – National Institute of Science Communication & Policy Research (NISCPR), New Delhi, a premier science publishing institute in India. A batch comprising 42 students of B. Pharmacy and three faculties was taken for the visit, where the students primarily explored the Raw Materials, Herbarium, and Museum divisions.
Dr Sunita Garg, former Emeritus Scientist and resource person at CSIR, explained about various medicinal plants on the campus, including the herbal garden, and also briefed them about entrepreneurship career opportunities in this industry. She also explained the importance of Science Communication, the Wealth of India, and also the activities of CSIR-NISCPR. The students also gained insights into the importance of museum specimens and herbarium and their relevance to the Wealth of India, sample collections, authentication of specimens, etc.
